Great game, I've spent way too much time on this. My biggest complaint is I play on very hard and the only way I can play is saving on december and trying to get a contract, failing, reloading, failing, etc. until it works.

The auto sign contract/auto cancel aren't helping especially the first year when every contracts are slightly more demanding than my production capacity. We should be able to send offer then confirm.

Maybe: send offer, next month, getting accepted/refused by the client, confirming + a checkbox for auto-confirmation ?

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

But yeah, Very Hard requires a lot of min-maxing and luck. One possible strategy is to make a good enough chip for Industries, research 76mm Wafer as soon as possible, build one 51mm production line, and hope that you can sign a console or computer contract (since they ask for a small number of chips)

am i just dumb/suck at this game or is it impossible to play on 1975? i dont see any way of making money, making a chip makes me bankrupt, theres no contracts or anything to do other than get bankrupt

On normal difficulty, you can start by making a CPU with minimum die size and maximum frequency with overclock, priced around $199 (increase or decrease the price if needed). That should give you enough money to research better tech for your second CPU

I can never get a contract signed well not in time anyways, any tips?

There's a bit of luck involved, since you're competing with other companies for the contracts. You can try sending offers to as many contracts as possible, that way you have a pretty good chance of signing at least one.

Also, make sure to enable the "cancel offers" automation, to avoid signing contracts that exceed your production capacity

how do you even make it past 2010???

Awesome game, I love it! I'm a Computer Science student from Brazil, so if you need a translator feel free to text me!

Ever since the 0.1.18 I have had a very hard time making any progress in the game, i have made cheap expensive and mid level CPUs and just go bankrupt in under a year

Overall the game can be fun and there's potential. I think it could make it to Steam of nicely polished.

Make a small tutorial.

Contract negotiations. That would be a good deal. Like opening a negotiation with a company. How many factories you could assign to them, price and other. Imagine more like FIFA contract negotiations (not exactly like that, but you get the idea). Also, contracts starts at Jan 1st. Not really realistic, because, sometimes, console companies and computer companies are hungry for the chips. So, why waiting when a chip manufacturer can deliver?

The "Inspector" tab is awesome. Why can't we compare to other manufacturers? Just make a "Compare" button that puts chips next to each other (more like GSM Arena does).

Just like in the first game, researching more "core clock" doesn't make any sense. The core clock e.g. My Ryzen 5700X3D isn't 4GHz because AMD is not putting more effort in researching better clock speeds. It's a thermal limit, which is in the game already. The clock speed should be thermal limited and not research limited. That would be realistic.

CPU Core's - While the fact that research was needed to realize that we can put more than 1 core / chip it's a true fact, anything past that is not ... realistic. Research should be something like Multiple core's unlocking (maybe 3 stages ; 2 cores; 4 cores; all cores). Usually the amount of cores put into a system is defined by power consumption and thermal limits. Also, Multithreading could be a tech. (Intel Hyperthreading ; AMD SMT)

CPU Cache - Don't limit it by research. It doesn't make much sense doing it so. Most of the times, the limits are price and size (e.g. Does this much Cache fit into the chip?) so why having a research limited Caching System?

Make sure to implement ASAP a Bank and Marketing Tabs. Even basic ones are much better than nothing.

If you need help with design or anything reach out to me or DM me.

Please let us review Contracts before signing them. If I send 10 offers and all 10 accept I'm screwed, but sometimes only 1 accepts, and I'm screwed too if I don't send enough offers^^

Would be nice to have a popup overview with all accepted Contracts offers returned and I can see my current & future production capacity and current CPU stock so I can choose the contracts I want with checkmarks to sign.

When you are bankrupt it would be nice to be able to sell Factory lines and retire CPUs with stock as a last ditch effort to pay the bills.

Also I'd like to see the statistics in the end screen to figure out what went wrong (contract fines or absurd production costs), still be able to use inspector etc.

Maybe a graph of all other companies compared to yours over time too. And your best and worst CPUs Money wise and popularity.

immediately ran my company into the ground. lost a hundred million in just under a year

Damn I used to excel at hardware tycoon but I suck at this one. How do I even start? I begin on normal mode, design my first CPU and go bankrupt shortly afterwards. If I choose 10um litography the product barely can get any contract, if I choose 6um I get contracts but can't satisfy the production before going bankrupt. In either case the hardware sucks compared to the competition and doesn't make money even if I lower the price. HELP!

are you selling high end or industry? i think in normal you have the same technology as other industries while in easy you compete with high end

question: is there a way to enable cheats? I thought it was possible before the update but I could be mistaken

Cheats are not implemented yet!

that makes more sense, thank you!

Great game although the late game balancing is a bit off as you can make DIPs in 2000 for a fraction of the cost of PGAs whilst still having high MIPS for contracts.
